We provided communications and reputation management support for Northern Education Trust (NET) since NET officially launched in 2012 until 2019.
As a result, we amassed an extensive knowledge about the evolution of the organisation. In line with the growth of NET, so the range and type of support required to maintain a positive corporate image has changed considerably. It also involved the provision of a very wide range of communications disciplines (excluding website design/development/hosting).
Communications strategy – including the creation of a communications matrix to define NET’s key messages
Media liaison – to promote goodwill and a positive, informed impression about the work, culture and ethos of NET, both as a multi academy trust and as an employer. This saw CLC standing between the media and NET or its academies to provide clarity and strategy around all communications – good and bad.
Crisis management – which has been extensively used to contain/minimise news relating to a wide range of events and incidents.
Attendance at key meetings – including quarterly board meetings, heads & chairs and annual conferences to maintain a detailed understanding of the prevailing climate and be able to provide advice to principals and governors from an informed standpoint
Key corporate communications materials production – including the Three Year Plan, Progress 8, interiors signage and best practice case studies to name a few
Staff newsletters– with 20 academies to operate, keeping staff abreast of the latest news and operational matters was essential
Pupil augmentation campaigns – Working with individual schools to improve student numbers by devising and implementing multi-media campaigns
Recruitment advertising – planning and buying space cost efficiently (through our media buyer), developing creative themes and producing recruitment packs to accompany advertising in printed and social media channels
Video production – to assist NET’s planned recruitment programme, working with our preferred videographer – for use with social media and for hosting on the NET website
Social media – establishing and implementing a social media campaign for corporate use, to assist with recruitment advertising and positioning NET as an employer of choice
Photography – we visit each academy yearly to obtain up to date photography, forge strong links with the principal and to fully understand the local issues each academy faces. We also bring our camera to events so that we have an up to date image bank of key personnel
Assistance with events in relation to securing guest speakers and producing pop up stands and materials.
