The Laidlaw Schools Trust (LST) is a growing multi academy trust in the North East of England, serving children and families in the west of Newcastle and in Pennywell, Sunderland.

It takes pride in being a progressive, inclusive trust that supports every child to develop their talents whatever they may be and to reach their academic potential.

It operates six academies  – two all-throughs and four primaries – where over 50 languages are spoken as a first language, it caters for almost 4,500 students and employs 755 staff.

Our Approach

Our role is to use our extensive education sector experience to advise on any challenging  situations which may occur during a school term, which might adversely affect the reputation of LST and its schools.

We hold a monthly meeting to gain perspective about what is happening throughout the trust and its schools and what is planned in terms of future growth and development.

In our role of advisers, we have also worked on improvements to the careers platform on the website, to encourage a greater level of visitor traffic from social media and larger numbers of applicants for jobs given the cost of advertising in the sector media such as the Times Educational Supplement.

Measurable Outcomes

We are available by phone 24 hours a day to give advice when needed and to provide support if required.

We work with CL as they are professional and reliable with a good knowledge and understanding of the education sector. They have supported our Trust over the past two years providing expert advice and keeping up to date with developments.
